Kaitlin Argeaux

Founding Artistic Director 

Kaitlin founded Théâtre Libre in 2009 and is the resident director. She has 14 years of dance training including ballet, pointe, jazz, clogging, tap, lyrical, and modern. She also studied Commedia Dell’arte under Paola Cavallin and had the privilege to train in Meyerhold’s Biomechanics at the prestigious GITIS Academy in Moscow. Since moving to London she has directed for the Camden, Brighton, and Edinburgh Fringe festivals, the Keochang International Festival of Theatre in South Korea, freelance directed for several theatre companies both UK and USA based, and has worked on every Théâtre Libre production to date.

Justyna Ziarek

Head of Movement

Justyna is a mum, a freelance dance teacher, and choreographer. She graduated from Middlesex University with a degree in choreography in 2009 and has worked in the UK, Poland, Japan, Germany, and South America.  Her passion is making theatre using various art forms such as dance, live music, and visual arts; bringing people together and making theatre accessible to everyone. She started to collaborate with Théâtre Libre in 2009 and became an active member in 2012.

Jo Bunnell-Thompson

Production Manager

 Jo Bunnell-Thompson originally hails from all over the eastern seaboard of America.  With her Bachelor of the Arts Degree from Meredith College in hand she moved to London in 2006 to work in the great and wonderful West End.  Since then she has worked for several theatre companies on productions including House of Atreus (Théâtre Libre), Push (A Laughing Matter Productions), A Midsummer Nights Dream (Network Theatre), Rasputin (Second Skin Theatre), Lysistrata/The Bacchae (Théâtre Libre), Turner Plays (Red on Black Productions), and The Bedtime Stories (Green for Go).

Ozlem Ozhabes

Resident Dramaturge

Ozlem works and lives in Istanbul. She is a freelance director, dramaturge and a full time PHD student. Currently she is teaching at Kadir Has University's theatre department in Istanbul. Her recent work  includes By the Bog of Cats by Marina Carr, SAHNE, Istanbul, (translator and director), The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek by Naomi Wallace, Istanbul (translator and director), New Text New Theatre - Young Playwrights, Galataperform, Istanbul (director), Lysistrata The Lion and Unicorn Theatre, London, (dramaturge), The Bacchae The Lion and Unicorn Theatre, London, (dramaturge).

Jay Oh

Artistic Associate

Jay lives in South Korea, where she works as a freelance designer, and co-founder and director of Champion Squad. With a background in management and marketing for the Korea Heritage Foundation, Jay met the Théâtre Libre team at Keochang International Festival of Theatre (KIFT), where she was working in 2013.

She has a Bachelor's degree in Visual Design and a Master's degree in Performing Arts Management.
